What is Klarna?

When you choose Klarna at checkout, you'll have the option to buy now and pay later. It's easy and safe to use. Split your payment into 3 interest-free installments to spread the cost of your purchase over time. The first payment will be made when your order is processed, while the other 2 will be taken every 30 days from a debit or credit card of your choice.

You can choose to pay with Klarna for orders not exceeding €1500 (including any shipping costs).

How much does Klarna cost?

With Pay in 3 installments, there are no interest charges or fees if you stick to your automatic payment plan. In case of late payment, we may charge late fees. If you miss a payment, the installment amount will be added to the next installment along with any late fees.

How do I purchase with Klarna?

Select Klarna as your payment method at check-out, choose your favorite items, and defer payment of your online order in 3 interest-free installments.

Is Klarna secure?

We invest heavily in our advanced security system that continuously monitors our systems so we can report any suspicious activity. When you use Klarna, it's important for you to know that even before we start developing our products, we do everything we can to assess any risks that might exist and to design the necessary countermeasures to ensure your safety. Of course, we encrypt your data where appropriate and ensure that only authorized persons have access to it. As a financial institution, we are required to undergo regular external audits of the security measures we have in place.

How do I pay?

Payments are automatically charged to the linked card according to the agreed upon payment schedule, however you can pay in advance whenever you wish.

To make a manual payment:

  • Go to My Klarna
  • Tap Payments and select the purchase or invoice you wish to pay for
  • Tap Payment Options and follow the instructions

Please note:

  • We accept all other major debit, credit and prepaid cards.
  • You cannot cancel a payment while it is being processed.
  • When you pay your Loan invoice, be sure to pay the agreed rate to maintain the promotional terms of your Loan purchases.
Where can I view my payment plan?

To view all your payment plans:

  • Go to My Klarna
  • Tap Payments to see your orders
  • Select an order to view your payment plan

We will also send you an email with the payment plan as soon as the store has shipped your order. If you don't find an email from Klarna in your inbox, please also check your spam folder.

I still can't find my payment plan

If you don't see your order in the app:

  • Make sure you are logged in with the same email address used to place your order.
  • Check that you have received the confirmation email from the store and log in with the linked email address.
  • Contact our Customer Service via chat to change the email address linked to your order.

We always recommend using the same email address when shopping with Klarna.

When does my payment expire?

The first payment is charged upon check out on the store's website, the remaining 2 payments are scheduled every 30 days.

Log in to the app to check the due date of your payment:

  • Go to My Klarna
  • Tap Payments to see your orders
  • Tap Payments and select the order to view your payment information

Once the store has confirmed your order, you will receive the order confirmation and payment reminders by e-mail; the latter will also be sent to you in the app.

Note: Download the app and enable notifications to make sure you don't forget any payments.

How can I postpone the expiration date?

Log in to the app to postpone your expiration date. If it is possible to postpone the expiration date, the appropriate option will be available.

  • Go to My Klarna
  • Tap Payments and select the purchase you want to pay for next
  • Tap Payment Options and tap Postpone Deadline

If you postpone the due date, all upcoming payments related to this order will be rescheduled to be billed monthly starting on the new payment date. In the app, you can view the updated payment plans by tapping Show plan on the order page.

What happens if i can't pay on time?

If you are experiencing financial difficulties and need help discussing future payments, please feel free to contact our customer service. We can then work together to find the best solution for you.If we fail to collect your payment on the due date, we will try again. If the new payment attempt is also unsuccessful, the non-payment will be added to the next scheduled payment amount.

How do the installments work?

The installments will allow you to divide the cost of your purchase into 3 equal payments. The payment for each installment will be automatically withdrawn from the debit or credit card entered at the time of payment. Your first installment will be collected when your order is confirmed by the merchant and installments 2 and 3 will be scheduled 30 and 60 days later, respectively.

Am I eligible for the Installments?

You must be at least 18 years old to use the installments. While this option is widely promoted, the installments are subject to your financial circumstances. When choosing your installments, our assessment will not affect your creditworthiness.

When will my order be delivered?

Deliveries are subject to the store's delivery services, so check the store's website for information on their shipping policies. Use the tracking number provided by the store to see updates on the estimated delivery date.

When your order is processed, you will receive an email with your order's tracking and shipping details. If you do not receive any shipping confirmation, please contact the store to receive updates on your delivery.

Useful information: After placing an order on the store's website, it may take a few days for the store to process it. If you want to know the current status of your order, please contact the store directly.

Are you still waiting for your order?

If your order does not arrive, please inform us before the payment deadline expires by logging into My Klarna. Choose the purchase you are waiting for delivery for and select Report a Problem. As soon as you report your problem, your payment plan will be suspended. This will give you more time to find a solution with the store.

I did not receive my order. Do I have to pay it?

No, there is no need to pay for the order until you have received the products you have purchased

If you have not received your order and the expiration date is approaching, we kindly ask you to take these steps to avoid any fees:

  • Track Delivery
    Use the tracking number provided by the store to see updates on the estimated delivery date of your order.
  • Contact the store
    If no shipping information is available or the delivery is delayed, please contact the store directly. Only the store will be able to locate the product or potentially replace your purchase if it is lost in shipping.
  • Contact us if you have not received your order
    While you are trying to find a solution with the store, make sure you do not miss any payment by logging into My Klarna and let us know that you are still waiting for delivery. Choose the purchase you are waiting for delivery for and select Report a Problem.
  • Check My Klarna for updates
    As soon as you report your problem, your payment plan will be paused until you find a solution with the store. Your payment plan will be updated accordingly once the store has updated your order.
  • Keep an eye on your email and notifications
    If there have been no updates to your payment plan and you have not yet received your order, you will be asked to provide additional information so that we can support you and initiate an investigation. It is important to save all relevant documentation until the problem is resolved.

Can I make a return?

The return process follows that of the seller. If you cancel your purchase or return your items, we will automatically waive the amount due (as soon as this has been confirmed by the seller). If you are returning an order that has already been paid for, we will refund the full amount.

What happens if I want to partially return an order?

Any returns or partial refunds attributed to your purchase will reduce the balance due, but will not be counted as payment. You will need to continue to make your already established payments on the scheduled due dates until the balance is paid in full. If you have an active balance, you authorize us to credit the balance to your card or any other card registered under your name.

How can I return my order?

If you wish to return your order, please follow these steps:

  • Follow store instructions on returns
    Returns are subject to their merchant's policy, so please check the information and instructions on the website.
  • When you have returned items
    please let us know.If your due payment date is approaching and you need more time to resolve your return with the store, please let us know that you are still pending registration of a return by pausing the invoice. Pause your invoice by logging in and choosing the purchase you returned and then selecting Register Return.
  • Save your return shipment tracking information
    If your return has not yet been registered by the merchant, we will only be able to assist you if you provide us with your return shipment tracking information. If you've returned merchandise that you ordered online to the store, keep proof of return until the return has been processed.
  • Check My Klarna for updates
    Once the store has changed your Klarna invoice, we will notify you or email you the new amount to pay. How your refund is processed depends on the payment method you used. If you have any questions about the status of your return or eligibility for a refund, please contact the merchant directly.

What are the times for refunds?

Your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Once the store has registered your return or cancellation, you will receive a refund based on the store's refund policy.

Log in to view the status of your last return or cancellation.

Good to know: Refunds can be processed in different ways, depending on the payment plan you choose, the full or partial cancellation by the shop and the amount paid. Attention, according to the terms and conditions of most shops, express shipping costs are not refundable.

  • Full Refund
    Once a full refund of your order is registered, all remaining payments will be canceled and the amount already paid will be refunded to the bank account provided by you.
  • Partial Refund
    If the partial refund is greater than the remaining balance of your order, the refund amount will be credited to the original payment method.
    If the partial refund is less than the remaining balance of your order, the amount will be deducted from the remaining balance and split equally between the remaining payments. You can view any updates to your payment plan in our app.

Are you still awaiting your refund?

Depending on your bank, it can take up to 14 days for the refund to appear in your account. To check the refund status, first make sure the store has updated your payment plan, then check the refund against the original payment method.

If after 14 days you still haven't received your refund or your original form of payment is associated with a closed bank account, please contact our Customer Service team. However, if your payment plan has not yet been changed by the store, contact them directly to confirm the return or cancellation of the order.
